Dec.30th, 2009 Founded in 2005 by Korin Japanese Trading Corp. president Saori Kawano, the Gohan Society is a non-profit organization that promotes US-Japan culinary and cultural exchange. With the help of Ms. Kawano’s vast network of professional associates and supporters, the Gohan Society’s mission is to foster an understanding and appreciation of Japan’s culinary heritage in the United States through outreach to chefs, culinary arts professionals and all who admire and enjoy Japanese culture. The Gohan Society serves as a resource center for knowledge of traditional Japanese ingredients, techniques and food-related products, and as a catalyst for the expansion of that knowledge in the United States. The Gohan Society Chefs Calendar 2010 is the third annual calendar presented by the Gohan Society. This calendar is an inspirational calendar that features twelve prominent chefs that share the same goals and vision as the Gohan Society. Featuring Jacques Pépin, Johan Svensson, Tani Tanaka, Shea Gallante, Tadashi Ono, Chris Muller, Ben Pollinger, Sam Hazen, Eddy Leroux, Jacques Torres, Alfred Portale, and Nobu Matsuhisa; these wonderful chefs all share the same goal of educating the people around them and using their skills to pass on knowledge to others. We hope that you enjoy this calendar and here’s looking forward to a fantastic 2010. The calendar is $25 and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these calendars will be donated to the Gohan Society to aid in its mission. We thank you sincerely for your efforts in making this program such a big success and look forward to continuing this movement with you. |
